ENROLLMENT FOR THE 2020-21 SCHOOL YEAR:

Lockard Registration is as follows: 

• 1^st grade – (Monday from 10am-2pm)
• 2^nd grade – (Tuesday from 10am-2pm)
• 3^rd grade – (Wednesday from 10am-2pm)
• Kindergarten – (Thursday from 10am-2pm)

 IMPORTANT: NEED TO KNOW

• Online Registration for the SCCSD 2020-2021 School Year will begin on June 1, 2020. School officials will be in contact with parents about submitting registration documents to receive your Active Codes.
• School Supply 2020-2021
• Virtual Summer School for enrichment and remediation will begin June 1, 2020 and end June 25, 2020.
• Virtual Summer School is for all students.

Zoom Instructions for Participants  

Set up a Zoom account  (if you don’t have one) Before a videoconference:  

• You will need a computer, tablet, or smartphone with speaker or headphones. You will have the opportunity to check your audio immediately upon joining a meeting. 
• You will receive notice for a videoconference or conference call. The notification will include a link to “Join via computer” as well as phone numbers for a conference call option. It will also include the 9-digit (usually) Meeting ID. 

To join the videoconference: 

• At the start time of your meeting, click on the link in your invitation to join via computer. You may be instructed to download the Zoom application. 
• You have an opportunity to test your audio at this point by clicking on “Test Computer Audio.” Once you are satisfied that your audio works, click on “Join audio by computer.”  

You may also join a meeting without clicking on the invitation link by going to join.zoom.us on any browser and entering the Meeting ID provided by your committee analyst.  If you are having trouble hearing the meeting, you can join via telephone while remaining on the video conference: 

• On your phone, dial the teleconferencing number provided in your invitation. 
• Enter the Meeting ID number (also provided in your invitation) 
• If you have already joined the meeting via computer, you will have the option to enter your 2- digit participant ID to be associated with your computer.

Message from Our Principal, Ms. Heflin:

Hello, Lockard Elementary School Students, Staff and Parents.

You know what? I miss you all! During our COVID-19 quarantine, I miss your smiling faces, the good morning and good afternoon hugs, the hard working teams and classes, the adult and student engagement, the concern and encouragement we share, and the feel of stepping onto a great campus full of growing and learning. These things can still take place BUT in a different way.

Here’s how…take this time to hug your family members, encourage each other through texts, phone calls or other means, and learn at your own pace. There are school packets and assigned online activities available for students, and there are many websites and books that offer learning opportunities for adults. Now is the time to explore at-home learning opportunities and to rest. When we return we will be as strong as or stronger than before.
